of keys, clefs and
medians entwined
to make one
beating heart
felt in stereo
from left to right
and right to left.
Inscribed in gold

a centenary tattoo
on the skin
traced pen dates of
‘à Thérèse’ and ‘Drei Klavierstücke’
the spirit of
Her and Him
expressed.
This quaint quadrate
of noire and ivory
decorated with
vintage filigree
my piano
at home.
